What are breaks?
New to breaks or Whatnot? Below are some FAQs regarding how breaks work feel free to check Whatnot FAQs or join our stream and ask further questions if you still need additional clarification!

What is a break?
A break is similar to a raffle in that there is one item that will be opened and one person will receive the item. The remaining entries get base cards or a pack of cards. (Sometimes breakers do more than one at a time or there are mystery boxes with several items)
The way we assign the break is either using teams, division or conference. Once all are assigned based on the break, the item is opened and whoever had the team/division or conference of the item pulled from the mystery box will receive that item.
This is a great way to get memorabilia without paying the full price of the mystery box.


How are the teams assigned?
The break will have a description with details on if the item will be a team, divisional or conference break. That will also change the starting bid price as well. The teams are usually randomized using a spinner on Whatnot. There is an option to Pick Your Team or Division (PYT/PYD) if the bids reach a certain price. That is a great way to ensure you get your favorite team.

Is the break recorded?
Yes, we use Whatnot so the break is recorded and can be viewed after the break is concluded for anyone that buys a spot in the break. So if you buy a spot and have to drop off the stream, you can go back and rewatch the show to see if you hit!

What if the break doesn't fill or sell out?
If a break doesn't get filled, full refunds will be issued.

What are the giveaways?
Giveaways range from base cards, pack of cards and can be up to a free team in the break.

What is the free pick up option?
We have an option set up in Whatnot for a free pick up for those that are local to the area. Since we have a physical storefront we are able to offer this service that can save you money on shipping. If you're local to the area you are welcome to use this option and pick up your items during regular business hours.
